Congratulations for deciding
to join the EE's!!!!!
Annie's
Email Encourager Page
This
page is not linked to any of my pages. It is a BLIND link
or page. That just means no one else can see it, except
the EE's.
What can you expect now that
you are an EE?
One
daily prayer mailing from Lisa each day of the week.
These are part of our team's support system for each
other.
History of how the Email
Encouragers started:
Here
is how the Email Encouragers started. It started
because many ladies who didn't have pages wanted to have
an Internet Ministry. I had a page called Help Annie Help
Others.
The Help page was initially started because people
thought I could answer computer questions. I have
only been on the computer since late 1997 and I am self
taught. Actually that is not really accurate
because it is ONLY the GRACE of God that has allowed me
to learn and share with others through the internet. At
first, being a "people pleaser" I tried to help
everyone and then I couldn't create the pages that the
Lord had laid on my heart to write. So I made the page
Annie's Simple Guide to Home Page Design http://www.annieshomepage.com/simpleguide.html BUT not
everyone had a page and they still wanted a ministry.
This is where the Email Encouragers started. I was
getting more and more ladies who felt led to be Email
Encouragers so I created the Annie's Email Encourager
Page http://www.annieshomepage.com/emailencouragers.html
At the same time my Internet Ministry was growing in
leaps and bounds. As the traffic increased I had to
get my own domain name. Then I had to switch hosts for my
domain because I had exceeded my FREE allotment.
Now I have my Domain at a place with no limits. So you
can imagine I was getting busier all the time with my
pages.
I had been praying that the Lord would bring someone or
some people to help me with the increase in email and all
the aspects of my ministry.
THEN.......once I had the page up for the email
encouragers Denice shared with me that the Lord had laid
on her heart that the email encouragers need to be
encourageing each other and have Bible studies and prayer
together so they would be equip to encourage others. They
could work as a TEAM. Isn't it wonderful how the Lord can
answer our prayers and bless us in so many ways.
And the rest is HISTORY!!!!!!!! We have gone through many
different changes since we began. We have grown
tremendously. We have been blessed to have had some
wonderful EE's as part of our team. Some are still with
us and some have moved on to their own personal internet
ministries. In the EE's as in life God brings some people
into our lives for a short time and others stay with us
much longer. Debbie has been with the EE's from the
beginning. And unfortunately with health problems in her
family has had to resign also. We really miss her. But
the Lord is so good. He always brings someone new when we
need them.
Why you should write a
testimony page:
I
am amazed that He is using me dispite all the
circumstances and trials I have been through. If you
haven't read my testimony page here is the link: http://www.annieshomepage.com/testimony.html I would like
to challenge and encourage you to make your own testimony
page if you haven't already. The Lord can use it to
reach, touch, and bless one soul or 100 but unless you
put it up you will never know. Ultimately you may not
know for certain until we all get to heaven how the page
was used. But one day you will meet people who read your
testimony. Your testimony may be the reason someone gives
their heart to the Lord. When we get to heaven it will be
wonderful to hear the Lord say "Well done thy good
and faithful servant". The time is so short and the
Lord's return is sooner then we realize. We need to be
found faithful.
Can I be an EE and do it at
work?
As
our name implies...this is an Email Ministry. People will
contact you for encouragement and support. In addition,
we work as an OUTREACH, also through Email, to encourage
and edify others. The daily prayer mailings are a part of
our procedure. Getting personal mailings at work is
really not something that would be fair to your employer.
So you see this is not a ministry that you could do from
your place of employment. Sending, receiving and follow
up emails are a part of this ministry. So NO you can't be
an EE and do it from work. In the future, if you have a
HOME computer, perhaps the Lord would lead you to rejoin
our ministry.
What is an Email Encourager
suppose to do?
Reach
out to others. Let's take time to visit other people's
web pages and then send an email to invite them to your
page. Share a favorite Bible Verse, offer to pray for and
with them. Tell them what you like about their page.
Let's reread what the main Email Encourager
Page says:
What is an Email Encourager?
All
you have to do is email other people and share a kind
word or scripture with them.
Ok......so
you don't have a web page or your page is really in the
beginning stages. But you still want to be an EE. That is
not a problem.
Maybe
you could email others every morning with a Bible promise
verse and a personal "Good Morning". Some
people live alone and have no one to say that to them.
You
could also help people check for:
broken links on
their page
look for a graphic
they can't find
a midi song that
they really want
look for new links
for their holiday page
find a poem or
scripture reference
check the spelling
or grammer on a page
Maybe
they need help with responding to email or even their
mailing list or newsletter. There are many, many ways you
can help others.
Just
mentioning to someone that you are an Email Encourager
will give you a wonderful opportunity to share your
faith, testimony and ministry.
~The
information above was taken from my main EE page.~
How do I find people to
Encourage?
Here
is how Debbie answers the question:
E-Mail
Encouragers can find people that need encouraging
EVERYWHERE! Everyday when you receive your prayer
mailing, there are people that need encouraging.
Sometimes, these people are other Encouragers, but often
they are not. Their e-mail addresses are included
so that you may send them an encouraging e-mail and even
pray for them.
Encouragers
need to get out and mingle in the secular WWW. You
can do this by joining web rings, visiting sites on
the web and signing guestbooks. Everywhere you go,
make sure you leave your E-mail addy so that people can
locate you when they need a prayer or a word of
encouragement.
It
is wonderful for the Encouragers to encourage each other
and pray for each other, but we must get out in the world
wide web if we truly want to make a difference.

EE's have added it in their email signature.

http://www.annieshomepage.com/emailencouragers.html
PLEASE
don't use the EE names as your own personal mailing list.
You
are more then welcome and encouraged to get to know each
other and make new friends.
Do
you want to start your own mailing list?
Visit: Annie's How to do a
Mailing List Page
Thanks
again for your work and desire to encourage and pray for
others. Just because you don't have your own web page
that shouldn't stop you from encouraging others. You can
add scripture verses in your email signatures. Maybe one
or two. The verses on the promises are always encouraging
to everyone. Some people use backgrounds in their email.
I have even seen people put a new "featured site"
in the signature of their email and then change it every
week.
Complaints/Suggestions:
ANNIE
will be taking the complaints, and/or constructive
criticism and suggestions. BUT I ask that you
please pray about this before you mail them. Remember
that balance is a good thing. Sometimes if you wait a
little while, pray about it and sleep on it things seem
much different in the morning.
Email Tips:
Here
is a page with Tips on the programs that I use
http://www.annieshomepage.com/tips.html
Sometimes too much email can
be overwhelming. Believe me I know.
When you get unwanted email
instead of getting frustrated or upset just DELETE IT.
Don't bother asking to be removed from the list and DON'T
call a phone number if they list it to be removed.
Sometimes when you asked to be removed from a list you
end up getting more mail .
You don't have to answer
Forwards or Stories.
You
can just save them to read later or just delete them.
People don't or shouldn't expect a reply to these mass
mailings.
DO
NOT just add people to your Mailing List. They should be
given an opportunity to sign up for your mailings. Always
add a few lines to let them know they are more then
welcome to be removed without any problems or questions.
You
can also decide on a time of day when you answer all the
email. You can even make folders for different people and
then use the Inbox Assistant (with Outlook Express) and
the mail will go right into their own folder. See my TIPS
Page for help with this.

Prayer Mailing and Prayer
Page:
Annie's "Prayer and the
Email Encourager's" Page - this is a page
that you can personally use to send in prayer request.
The form will go directly to Lisa. It is better to have
others fill out their own with prayer requests on this
page. That's why they share only what they want the group
to know and you can't make a mistake either.
Lisa - Liwet@aol.com - Prayer Mailing
Coordinator ~~
Lisa sends
out a prayer mailing once a day on week days and weekends.
I would encourage you to spend time with your families on
the weekend. There are other EE's that don't have
families that can continue to pray for others during that
time.
The prayer
requests come about the same time each day,in the evening.
This way you will expect them and spend the time
immediately and pray for them. You can also just print
them and pray for them in your Quiet Time.
We are
trying to give the EE's the weekends off to spend the
time with their families.
EE's Prayer Guidelines:
As
an E-Mail Encourager, we need to be in prayer for those
coming to us for encouragement. We also need to be in
prayer for the other encouragers. We all need
encouragement and especially when we are ministering to
others.
Who is the Daily Prayer Mailing
for?
You
can submit prayer for yourself, your families, people
that you are encouraging or ANYONE that you would like
for us all to pray for.
*If
you are submitting a prayer request for someone you are
encouraging, either make sure that you have their
permission or submit their request anonymously. We want
everyone to have confidentiality and to trust us with
their personal needs.*
How do I include a prayer request
or praise report?
The
prayer mailings go out once daily. Please try to send
your request to Lisa by 6PM Eastern Time for the evening
mailing.
*Urgent Prayer Request* will be sent out as
needed by Lisa at Liwet@aol.com.

What
are the EE Support & Encouragement Helpers?
When
or if you need some support and encouragement yourselves
you don't have to worry. Now you have a place to go. You
are more then welcome to contact one or all of the EE
"S & E" Helpers.
They
are here to be of help to you in any way that they can.
Whether
you need PRAYER, a KIND WORD, HELP with something or a
BIBLE VERSE all you have to do is email one of the ladies
below. They will be ministering to the EE's so that we
can in turn minister to others, reach out and encourage
those in need.
Franni,
Maggie, Pat and Joy have been EE's for quite a while now.
They love the Lord with all their hearts and are indeed
Godly women. God does indeed comfort us so that we can
comfort others. The Lord has walked with them through
some difficult times yet they are faithful and still
trust in Him.
The
following verse is reflective of their lives:
"Therefore
encourage one another and build each other up, just as in
fact you are doing." ~1 Thessalonians 5:11~
Are you not getting any EE's
group mailings?
Please
email Lisa Liwet@aol.com if you are not
receiving the Daily Prayer Mailings. We will correct it
as soon as we can.
There are often Problems
with EE's mailings being returned:
SO if
you have a new EE address let us know. If you are on AOL
make sure you do not have a block on or you will not
receive my email.
Did you forget a link to an
important EE Page?
This
page has ALL the pages listed: Annie's EE Members Only
Pages
Remember that CHANGE is not
always a bad thing!
We
are growing and changing each new day. It is important
for us to always expect change and to adapt to it.
Communication:
Communication
is important in "real life" but even harder by
email since we can't "hear" the email or see
the person.
Please be
aware that people can misunderstand us even in a
conversation when they can see our faces and hear our
voices. Use your words wisely.
Be clear
and concise. Ask the Lord to write the words through you
and bring scriptures to your mind and heart.
REMEMBER
that with just typed words we can MISUNDERSTAND the
meaning and the tones in someone's voice. We can
misunderstand and also ASSUME we know what someone is
saying. ASSUMING is never a wise thing to do. Instead of
ASSUMING what someone has said try to CLARIFY it.
MORE FAQ's
= Frequently Asked Questions Section:
What
do I do now that I have decided I want to be an Email
Encourager?
- Now
you need to go to this page http://www.annieshomepage.com/neweepage.html - This is
where you will type in the EXACT paragraph that
you want posted by your name. For a guideline you
can read what the other EE's have written on the
main EE page. This paragraph will be posted for
all the visitors to see.
- IF
you use AOL you will not be able to fill out the
FORM and may just send the paragraph to Annie
with "EE Paragraph" in the subject line.
Then I can copy and paste your paragraph.
What do I link the logo to?
- First
download the logo to your own hard drive
- Add
the EE's logo to your page
- and
link it to this page - the Main EE Page
http://www.annieshomepage.com/emailencouragers.html
- IF
you add a Web Page AFTER you have joined the EE's
then PLEASE advise us. We will check your NEW
page and send you the logo.
- IF
YOU USE AOL. As I understand it you have to turn
of the graphic compressor.
- If
you have trouble with putting the logo on just
contact Leah for help. leah@house2house.org
Do you
have friends or others asking if they can put up a logo
and not join the team?
Well we
now have a NonMember Logo to share with others who are
interested in the EE's.
Make sure it is linked to the EE page: http://www.annieshomepage.com/emailencouragers.html
What
should I do if someone emails me a request for prayer?
- Email
them back and write a prayer like you would say
it. You would be amazed at how the Lord can use
those prayers. People can feel so alone and just
to hear another voice praying for them is so
comforting.
- Suggest
that they might also go to the EE Prayer Page and fill
out the form. For confidentiality and accuracy it
seems wise for them to write it themselves.
- You
can print out the Daily EE Prayer Chain Letter
that Lisa sends and include this with your own
prayer journal.
- If it
is an URGENT problem you can ask them if you can
share it with the EE's. Please listen to the
Lords leading on this.
- With
their permission forward the request on to Lisa.
This may open up an opportunity to share with
them Scriptures that have helped you or ones that
the Lord brings to your mind.
- You
might want to keep a prayer journal by the
computer. Date the page and list the request.
Don't forget to add a column for answers and the
date the prayer was answered
- This
way you can pray daily and specifically for the
prayer requests.
- You
can print out the Daily EE Prayer Chain Letter
that Lisa sends and include this with your prayer
journal. Date the page and list the request.
Don't forget to add a column for answers and the
date the prayer was answered . This way you can
pray daily and specifically for the prayer
requests.
- I
have OTHER prayer pages listed on my Chronic Pain Page near the
bottom of the page. You can suggest that they go
there and share the prayer requests so they will
have even more Christians praying for them.
- Remember
to add a scripture in your email. Maybe "The
fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much"
- PLEASE
simplify the prayer requests that you send in. Be
concise and specific.
- Don't
forget to use the subject line. Either "Prayer
Request" or "URGENT Prayer Request".
What do I do if some of the EE's
are sending me lots of email mass mailing?
Just
either DELETE the email and don't read it OR email them
and ask to be removed from their mailing list. You just
can't take that personally and have an internet ministry.
Many people will love to receive your forwards BUT some
are too busy and get stressed with LOTS of email. If
someone asks you to remove them from your mailing DON'T
worry that you offended one person because you may have
300 on your mailing list and they love your mailings. You
need to relook at things a little more objectively. You
probably didn't say anything to hurt or offend someone so
don't beat yourself up over it. God has plans for you and
He is in control. It is hard NOT to be a "People
Pleaser". We can't please everyone BUT instead we
must listen to the Lord and expect change. Sometimes I
will have 3 remove themselves from my mailing list and
then I receive 6 more that want to join. It seems to work
that way. Don't let frustration or other people steal
your JOY.
How do I pray in an e-mail?
Here
is a sample of a prayer in an email:
Dear
Friend
Have you eaten anything this morning? Maybe soda
crackers will help?
Lets pray:
Dear Lord
We come to you right now in prayer. Father we know
that you hear our prayers. Lord my friend is having
an attack and major problems right now. Lord I
plead the blood of Jesus over her. Heal her body
and give her peace and calm and comfort right now in the
name of Jesus Christ my Savior. Thank you Lord for
hearing and answering our prayers.
In Jesus Name we Pray.
Amen.
Should I have a signature in
my Email?
What do I do now?
- the
ladies could visit some of the ladies on the More
Lovely Christian Ladies pages. http://www.annieshomepage.com/moreladies.html
- Reach
out to others. Listen to the Lord's direction and
pray before you surf the Net. The Lord will also
bring the right people to you if you ask him.
- When
you read through the daily prayer mailngs we have
the address of the people who are sending in
prayer request. If you feel led send them a quick
email. Just say you are praying for them.
- We
may NEVER know how we are impacting others lives
until we get to heaven.
- Visit
some Web Rings for more sites to check out.
How
can I get some help and suggestions to make my own Web
page?
Annie's "EE
HTML HELP" Page
This
page is for you if you are an EE and you are just
starting to make your first webpage. You will find some
help pages and a few hints.
Please
remember that you shouldn't try to make a web page right
after you get on the computer. Web Page Designing is like
life.........you have to walk before you can run.
How come I am not making
friends among the EE's?
Well
the EE's is not like other groups or webrings. Our
purpose and goal is to reach out to others and encourage
them. We don't JUST chat and visit with our EE group only.
Our focus is more outward then inward. When you reach out
to others you will offer support, understand and prayer
along with friendship. Of course you can make new friends
among the EE's and I would encourage you to read the EE's
paragraphs that are listed alphabetically. You will find
other EE's that have similar backgrounds as yourself or
similar gifts from the Lord that will draw you together.
We have the ICQ numbers of the EE's along with their
email address and URL listed on this page: http://www.annieshomepage.com/eehomepages.html.
By
getting to know some of the other EE's you will know who
to direct an email acquaintance to. For example: My
friend Gitte has Panic Attacks and Agorphobia. I too have
suffered from this. So I might share with one of the
people on the EE Daily Prayer Mailing about my own
experiences but want to have someone else get to know her
or him too. So I often send them the link to Gitte's page
and mention that Gitte and Gill have founded a webring
for those particular illnesses. Some of the EE's are Home
School Moms and other are single and or seniors. We are
all so very different BUT we have one very important
thing in common. Our faith in the Lord Jesus and our
desire to encourage others by using the talents and gifts
that the Lord has given us. So reach out to some of the
EE's and get to know each other better.
How can I share some ideas
with other EE's about how to encourage others as an Email
Encourager?
I
am working on a new EE page for just this. You can send
your ideas typed and ready for me to just copy and post
on the page for all the EE to read. Send your ideas with
your email address, name and if you have a web page the
URL to Annie annies@gate.net. Please put "EE
Ideas" in the subject line and I will post it when i
get the new page ready to go.
Do you have some other
questions that you would like added to this page?
Just
send them to Annie annies@gate.net
We
have an EE Webring. Visit this page to learn all about it:

Answers to Questions sent to
Annie by EE's
Do
you have some other questions that you would like added
to this page?
~Gifts
& ICQ~
6/25/99
Dear Annie
I am a VERY new EE and wanted to ask if it is OK to send
someone a free gift. I couldn't find anything about
gifts on your pages but I may have overlooked it. I
have been encouraging some people since 1996 by sending
them e-mails for healing. I have sent gifts like a
WWJD bracelet and cassette tapes with praise songs.
Is this against the rules being one of your encouragers?
Thank you in advance for answering. I have been so
blessed to have stumbled across your site. I have
tried to read all of your pages. There is a ton of
information in them!!! One more question. I am not
that literate with this computer yet and I don't know
what ICQ stands for. One of your other EE's asked
me if I had that number and I don't know what she is
talking about. I asked her and she hasn't responded
yet. Thank you again. Jesus loves YOU and so do I.
From an EE
About
Gifts:
Privacy is a big concern on the Internet. Some people
feel comfortable with giving out a phone number and
address and others don't. I think that we need to always
be very careful about this. Your intentions may be
innocent and you may have the right motive but we can't
TRUST everyone on the Internet. It may take some people
awhile to learn to "trust" you with their
personal information. There is one very specific rule
about GIFTS that as an EE I would like to be followed: We
don't want people giving gifts of money or expensive
gifts to other EE's or people you encourage as an EE.
Gifts are not required but are allowed within reason. Of
course I can't monitor all that you do. Ultimately you
are accountable to the Lord and not me. I just don't want
you to be caught up in trying to "do" the
Lord's work and not trusting Him to provide the miracles
that He will manifest where the need arises. You
mentioned some specific gifts; the WWJD bracelet and
cassette tapes of praise music sound just fine. You might
want to send a Bible or a book or even a Tract too. My
Dad carries Bible Promise books in his car and gives them
to people that the Lord brings to him. I would also just
like to mention that as EE's we are all Believers but we
certainly do not all agree on different doctrines or
theology. So I would not recommend sending different
tapes that might offend another person's denominational
preference. For example Joyce Meyer is not connected to a
specific denomination and her work would minister to many.
But others may prefer Copeland to Graham or Stanley. See
the difference? I hope I have clarified this for you. If
you do run into someone who is dealing with financial
problems I have some suggestions on the EE Prayer page: http://www.annieshomepage.com/eeprayer.html Also if someone is
very depressed and needs help you should suggest that the
set up an appointment with their local Pastor and another
one with their Doctor. There is nothing wrong with
needing help through the difficult times. God can and
does use Doctors, Pastors and Christian counselors.
About ICQ:
ICQ is a program that has to be downloaded to your
computer. It is free. I don't personally use ICQ http://web.icq.com/ because I can't
over due it with my hands. You can chat on ICQ and also
know if someone is on line. You also are advised if an
approved friend is online. The people with ICQ are all
listed on this page: http://www.annieshomepage.com/eehomepages.html. You can email one
of the ladies for more information.
More to come! Remember that
this page will never really be finished.
