Compton's says this:
Christian flag, originated 1897 by Charles Carelton Overton;
field, white with union of blue and cross emblazoned in red;
intended for all Christian denominations but actual
use confined to some of the Protestant churches.

The World Book didn't have anything about it.

Pledge to The Christian Flag:
"I pledge allegiance To the Christian Flag
And to the Saviour,
For whose Kingdom it stands.
One Saviour, crucified,
risen and coming again,
With life and liberty
for all who believe."
