Annie's
"Jesus-Messiah the Fulfillment
of Prophecy" Page
The Old Testament contains over 300 references to the Messiah that were fulfilled in Jesus.
In
"Science Speaks" by Peter Stoner the probabilities of a
man fulfilling eight of the prophecies
is 1 in 10 to the 17th power which is 100,000,000,000,000,000.
So now can you imagine the figure for all of the over 300 prophecies that were fulfilled in Jesus.
So
if you question that God inspired the Bible and that Jesus is the
Christ your argument would really have
little merit. Especially if you consider the science of
probability.
Lets
look at what Luke 24:44-49 says:
"And he said unto them,
These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with
you, that all things
must be fulfilled, which were written in the
law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning
me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might
understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it
is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise
from the dead the third day: And that repentance
and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all
nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are
witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my
Father upon you: but tarry ye in the
city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on
high."
Notice that Matthew 1:22 says this "All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet;"
Lets
take a look at the word FULFILL and see what the
scriptures tell us. Twelve times in the gospel of Matthew
alone the mention of the things that need to be FULFILLED about Jesus were
mentioned. (Matthew 1:22; 2:15;
3:15; 4:14; 5:17; 8:17; 12:17; 13:14,35; 21:4; 27:9) These verses
are talking about Old Testament prophecies
that are to be fulfilled in Jesus birth and life.
These FULFILLMENTS are powerful testimonies
to the
divine origin of the Scriptures and its accuracy even in the
small details.
But
not all the PROPHESIES of the Old Testament are fulfilled. Jesus is coming again!
There are prophecies of His return in the Old and New Testament.
God's
Word the Bible is so full of wonder and awe! But it is also very
specific if we study
it with the insight and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
The
word "Bible" was formed from a Greek term meaning books
in the plural. The Bible is a collection of 66 books
and inspired by God. It has many authors and was written in
Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic.
2
Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is God breathed and is useful
for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in
righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped
for every good work."

for you to consider:
"You must make a choice. Either

and call Him Lord and God.

Lewis "Mere Christianity"~
Now
that you know for sure who Jesus Christ is and was......
Let me ask you a most important question.
Have you asked Him to be the Lord
and Saviour of your life?
This is what Jesus said about
Himself:
"Jesus
saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6"

can you become a Christian?

If
you are a Christian, please take this time to give your life
totally over to the Lord.
There is no half way with the Lord. Either you are in control or
the Lord is.
Who is in control of your life?
John
14:1-3 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,
believe also in me. In my Father's house are
many mansions : if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto
myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
Let's look forward to the Lord's return with an expectant heart.
