12/28/08 - Thank you all so much for your continued prayers for my father! Dad, my son and I were all ill
so we had to cancel Christmas. We finally had Christmas but had Pizza instead of turkey and the trimmings.
Whatever is going around takes at least one antibiotic then you feel like you are doing better but then
it morphs and you are sick again. I am dealing with a sore throat that I got from my son but it was well
worth getting sick again so that we could spend time together!!! It seems that almost every email I get
lately someone in every family is ill. Dad had a bad chest infection and was contagious for about a week.
Dad is over the infection and is much betterl. He had his 3 month recheck and the bloodwork was great.
So we don't have to increase any of his medictions. We will go back in another 3 months for another recheck.
His medications are keeping the cholestorel and high blood pressure under control. He still loves his sweets
but they aren't affecting his cholestorel. It is still hard to believe that it has been almost 18 months since
Dad's quadruple bypass surgery and endarterectomy. Thank you all so much for continuing to pray for
my parents and for me. We appreciate it so very much. We all really appreciate your prayers and
encouraging words so much. If you or your family are dealing with health problems please consider sending
in a prayer request to my EE's (Email Encouragers). You can send your prayer requests to Lisa who gathers
them from the website for me and then she sends them on to me because I do the daily prayer mailings now!!
